i am unable to delete Form & Search History (it's greyed out as an option to be deleted under the clear recent hisotry tab) help!

my son has used my computer to visit porn websites and I want to delete the Form and Search history so the drop down with these sites is eliminated. The instructions said to go to History > clear recent history and then chose Form and Search history, but it won't allow me to choose this (it's greyed out). How do I do this?
