There is no button to refresh a page with the latest version of firefox

There is no button to refresh a page with the latest version of firefox

Chosen solution

Firefox 4 uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end side of the location bar.
During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.
If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.
Middle-click the Reload button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.

Try "Refresh Button" in the Search Firefox Help box above and you'll also find relevant threads and information about other "missing" buttons such as Stop and Home. Buttons have been moved and combined.

Via Customize and advice from the threads you can restore and resurrect buttons as you wish.

Where is the refresh button? I want my refresh button!!!Its my browser.

Stop tinkering with the browser. I just learn it then you scramble it. So I go back to the earlier versions.

To restore the Firefox 3 appearance you can use these steps:

  • Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window or right-click a vacant area on a Toolbar, except fot the Bookmarks Toolbar.
  • Then drag'n'drop the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position at the left side of the Location bar.
  1. Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
  2. Or "Reload - Stop" then put a flexible space in between the two to prevent the buttons from combining.
  3. Set the order to "Stop - Reload" to separate them and get two distinct buttons.
