What happened to my Show Desktop Icon in Fast Start menu when I upgraded to Firefox 4?
I value and often use the SHOW DESKTOP button that has always been in my QUICK START MENU ... until I recently upgraded to the newest version of Firefox since it promised to be faster (and my online experience in spite of paying for "high speed" is all but fast!). I see that icon was not simply moved, but REMOVED and I'm not at all happy about that. What happened to it and how do I get it back? Thank you. (By the way, I do NOT want fancy instructions with a bunch of techy words. I need the answer in a format that a 1st grader can follow. Thanks.)

You can create a new shortcut easily enough. Just drag the one in the Quick Launch bar out with the right mouse button and then choose "Create Shortcut Here" from the menu you'll get.

You've got a shortcut on your desktop presumably. Drag that on to the Windows Taskbar. Don't worry, the original will remain in place.
That would NOT be correct. The missing icon is the ONE I'd moved to my quick start to clear my desk top - years ago and it's been great! Now I don't have ANY. I really wish programs like Firefox would leave these kinds of things alone when "upgrading." Thanks.
