How can I stop "do you want to allow Firefox to make changes to your computer"?

I started to download Firefox 4 and don't think it finished. Just downloaded 3.16.6 again, but when I open Firefox it always says "do you want firefox to make changes to your computer. Do I have to delete something and start over? Cheryl

Chosen solution

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.
You also need to check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory.
