.Pdf files open in"Western European Windows" format but are unreadable( This is repeat as apparently my first was recevied buy I can't activate the link you gave me)

I have Adobe 10.0.01.When I try to open .PDF files received in Microsoft Outlook I get an "opening mail attachment" window saying only opne from trusted sources . when I continue I get another window saying Windows default with a language selected as Western European and the display of the file is essentially "gibberish" of apparently numbers and characters. hope this gets to you OK this time
