I read an article about companies that reap personal information and searching habits from a computer and sells that information. The article said you could download software to tell you who is gleaning information. Example: ghostly.com, etc. It went on to say that Firefox and Google Chrome already have a program that does this for you. If so I'd like to download this feature. I got this info. from the March 21st/2011 edition of Time magazine. The article is titled "Your data for sale" by Joel Stein.

The add-on that allows you to do this is called Ghostery, available from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ghostery

Thanks Tony. It's working well. Now if I only knew what to do with the information or what kind of web sites are popping up, I'd have it made. I did notice when I went to log onto my bank account an outfit named Omniture popped up. I went to their web site but still don't know what they do. Thanks again.
