I would like to set the size of the window to smaller than it normally opens .... I cannot in the preferences fine a way to do that.

just to clarify ... I mean I want to determine the size of the window that opens ... I know how to reduce it after it opens ... I would like them all to open smaller than the standard full screen. ThnX
