I can't open Firefox - Entry Point not found ... The procedure entry point js_nextactive context could not be located in the dyanmic link library js3250.dll What can I do?

Posted

I use Norton Security Suite. Can't think of any recent downloads.

Chosen solution

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.

It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

You do not need to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

That was a great solution. Everything works fine now and I didn't lose any of my bookmarks or saved sights. Thank you so very much!!

You're welcome.

If that file keeps disappearing then you may have a malware problem and you need to check for that. If it happened after an update then a possible cause is security software that locked or protected the file and made the update fail.
