java plugin shows up in about:plugins but firefox wont load java at any site, java works fine in ie

win7 x64, firefox 3.6.10, java 6_21: have already tried clearing cache and cookies, uninstalling and reinstalling both firefox and java.... still can't get java to load on any site. Java shows in about:plugins and works in ie... this has been like this for the last few firefox updates... pleas help! I need java!

Try disabling then enabling the Java 6 Update 21 plugin.
