Does Firefox use Internet Explorer in any way? When I go to CCleaner to delete history, there are always IE files as well as Firefox, my default browser and I don't use IE. It doesn't make sense to me, but then, I don't know much.
I don't know what I can add... thanks for any help.

Firefox itself does not use the IE temporary internet files location, but some plugins will save data to the same place as IE.
Thank you. That means I don't need to worry? To me it just looks like internet explorer has been used, even though I've even blocked IE by my firewall. Sometimes there are more files that look like IE than Firefox, and it's been worrying me a lot.
By the way, is there an easy address to this forum? I feel as though I had to go around the world again to get to here, to reply to you, after being around the world before to get to ask the question in the first place. -- very unfriendly, this format, toward a dumb-user like me.
Just an added thought -- would blocking IE in my firewall affect Firefox?
Thanks for taking the time to reply to me. :)
You can use this link to go directly to the forum:
And there is no relationship between IE and Firefox, they are two completely separate browsers. Maybe you can completely uninstall IE if you don't want anything from them. However, I do not recommend doing so personally in case Firefox has any problems, you still have another browser to depend on. Of course, you can use Google Chrome instead, which to me, is better than IE.
