I use Ubuntu 10.04 and have been using linux for a couple of years now together with Firefox. For about a month now my FF is DEAD SLOW, I mean as slow as Vista with a million bugs using IE. Ebay is a taboo now, no chance of getting my bid in in the last few seconds, It takes forever to start, refresh, load pages. I have disabled EVERYTHING that came ' out of the box ', I have no extensions installed, Nothing !!! Why is it so slow, I see that I am not the only one having this problem, I love firefox but now use Chrome ( seriously fast ) but I want FF back. Is this issue due to release 3.6.8 being full of unneeded things, how do I resolve this issue. PLEASE HELP...... edit Details

Ok. I can see that a few people, and i'm sure there is a LOT more. So, how does one fix this issue. I'm close to permanent deletion of Firefox. This really sucks. I thought that there would be a real solution to this but it seems the Mighty FF is now worse than IE. People....CHROME... Its real quick, I'm using it on Ubuntu 10.04LTS, Load up package manager and search " Chrome ". Seconds to instal, and it just works, much like FF used to do.
