The clear history will not clear what do I do? Is there a phone number to contact you?

I was having trouble with a question on a college discussion board. Every time I clicked on it, the reply was set option failed. I called support through the college. They told me how to clear all history on Firefox.Well I did that and nothing was cleared I have tried several times and the history will not clear at all. The technician stated that it sounded like java script was acting crazy. Could this be true? I have had no other problems. Is there a phone number that you can be reached at?
