I often find that the best way to make Firefox start faster is to un-install any addons or plugins you do not absolutely need. Also, sometimes if you start Firefox right after starting your computer it will be a little slower because your computer is still starting in the background. Try waiting another minute or two to make sure your computer is fully up and running.
