When trying to download & install Firefox to Windows 7 on a new HP laptop, I continuously get "File is corrupt" & cannot install it. I've tried from mozilla.com and two different dpownload sites.

try another windows or another version

This can be caused by anti-virus software/ real time scanners. Please try to disable your anti-virus software real time scanner and try again. Do not forget to enable it after the download is complete!'

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_save_or_download_files (Disable virus scanning in Firefox preferences - Windows)

Put Windows Defender off. My Firefox downloaded perfectly after I did this, and I'd downloaded FF 8 times with a "File corrupted" message before I did this.
