Try opening Firefox and pressing Ctrl + Shift + O to open the bookmarks library. Click Import and Backup → Restore and see if there's a backup from before your bookmarks disappeared. If there's no backup, type about:profiles in the address bar and check whether your old bookmarks are still in another Firefox profile.
