I am running Firefox 149.0 (64-bit) on Windows 10. FF tells me that there is an update. I downloaded the update, and when I restart FF, it does not update. Version 149.0 is re-started, and Help --> About Firefox again tells me to restart to upgrade. I have tried the upgrade at least three times.

Chosen solution

I do not know if FF has been updated. The one tab that I see does not have the "help" toolbar, and I do not have time right now to determine how to get it to appear. I need my previous windows and tabs ASAP. I will look at the "Recover" URL..

The latest version is Firefox 149.0.2. To check your version, click the Firefox menu IG main menu button, choose "Help", then choose "About Firefox". See Find what version of Firefox you are using for details.

As I posted - About Firefox tells me that I am running "149,.0 (64-bit)". I do not know any other way of determining the FF version number.

Those suggestions did NOT work. I tried re-installing, but I did not close FF before running the re-install executable. Something was installed, but there was no FF executable. I tried again, and the re-install wiped out my \Profiles\abnfpged.default directory. I have restored that directory from a backup I did last Monday, but I still cannot get FF to open with the many windows and tabs I had before the upgrade. When I start FF, I now get one tab. How do I get back to my multi-window/tab configuration?

I'm sorry about the problems you are having. Your original question was that you could not update from Firefox 149.0 to the current version 149.0.2. Is that still the case?

If Firefox has now been updated, then the original issue is solved and you may get more help if you ask a new question. See also Recover user data missing after Firefox update or reinstall, in case it helps.

FF was upgraded to 149.,0.2. But in the process I lost my configuration, including all of my open tabs and windows.. I need to get thesm back. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1576071#answer-1811588 .
