Thank you for answering my request, Matt, but I cannot send my response via email. So I am copying and pasting what I tried to respond to Matt. Hopefully he can still access my original message if it is needed.

Hi Matt, Thank you for the prompt reply. Unfortunately F10 did nothing when I pressed on it with the cursor in the compose area. No menu bar came up. Nothing changed.

Yes, I guess I did disable the composition toolbar unintentionally as I did R click on the 2 choices (menu bar and composition toolbar) and it made them both go away and no options came up, with nothing left behind in that 'sent' area. (In response to you, it did go 'send later' in gray first and there had been some spotty internet access then but internet did resume fine, but the 'send later' stayed gray, but then disappeared as above.) The email addresses I was using were all current operational addresses.

So I need to get composition toolbar option back up, so I can respond to and send out emails. This is a major problem. I now have no way of responding to emails.

The email you got is automated as they are sent to inform you of replies to threads you have started or replied in depending on your settings here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/settings

You reply to the thread here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1571958 and not in the automated email. In case you forgot how to reply in a thread (that is not locked) scroll down to the Post a Reply box, put in your reply then click on [ 'Post Reply' ]

Welcome back, Mary. My FIRST suggestion is to always stay within the original thread, which was https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1571958. Since you're here, I'll answer on question. Press the alt key and that should bring up the menu bar where you can then follow Matt's suggestion on resetting the bars.
