I am not receiving emails for the past two days on one of my three Thunderbird accounts. I am able to receive the messages on Mailbird, another email client.

This displays the date in the list (after restart of TB). Nice. When I open the e-mail, still only the time is shown.

Hi Folks, hope you are all well. My husband and I share an email address so it is set up as an IMAP Account. We each have Thunderbird installed on our respective computers. I am able to open all PDF's attachments without issue. My husband on the other hand, randomly will try and open a PDF on an email, and the preview is blank. Once downloaded to his documents, he can try and open it with Adobe or any other reader and it will say file is corrupted. This does not happen with all attachments but every now and then, so its random. I have updated Thunderbird and updated all the different readers that we use. Any idea on what we can do on his side to fix this? Thank you in advance.

Having recently upgraded to thunderbird:amd64 (1:115.1 5.0+build1-0ubuntu0.20.04.1, 1:115.16.0+build2-0ubuntu0.20.04.1), on Linux Mint 20.2, I am seeing an unusual issue.
The problem i have is that I originally had 2 profiles for work/home. I can now see my work messages when *not* signed into my work email nor is the password supposed to be saved when I sign out of that account.
The emails appear up as desktop notifications when I am on my home profile, I can see the title and some of the first line of the email. I didn't enter my password for my work email, nor is it saved, so it shouldn't be stored - but somehow it is persisting through restarts?
I also don't see the profile manager at startup anymore, and have to start thunderbird with the --ProfileManager option to be able to see this window - even though the "use the selected profile without asking at startup" is not selected.
Has anyone seen this before, or have any ideas?

Following the password prompt (known password, tested via another login page to the same service, immediately prior to confirm it is correct)
"Create New Calendar" dialog has found my calendar, displays it in the list, but it is greyed out.
Why can Thunderbird not add this calendar if it found it? There is no feedback that I can see that disqualifies it?

Since that transition we are having trouble receiving emails. Can you help us resolve this issue. We believe we are able to send but not receive emails. With the recent update, the logic of the Quick Filters has changed. It used to work as "contain" instead of "match" for the search input. Now it doesn't show messegases if it doesn't match the exact wording either in Sender, Subject, Recipient or Body.
Is there a way to revert or update these settings?

Current OS is Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon, and until October 2024 I've successfully used Thunderbird for years without issue.
I can reliably receive and view messages, but after carefully checking all IMAP & STMP server settings, remain unable to send any outgoing messages for past couple of weeks.
I do not own a mobile phone to be able to receive temporary codes or do any type of two-step authentication.
When attempting to send messages, here are the repeated error messages leading to endless loop that eventually times out:
Login to account "Microsoft" failed Login to server smtp.office365.com with username xxxx@outlook.com failed.
Send Message Error Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com timed out. Try again.
Send Message Error Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'.
Current Server Settings:
IMAP Mail Server outlook.office365.com Port 993 xxxx@outlook.com SSL/TLS OAuth2
Default Outgoing Server (Microsoft) smtp.office365.com Port 587 xxxx@outlook.com STARTTLS OAuth2
No so-called 'solutions' that are currently online have any effect. What do you suggest? Thanks!

I am struggling with a problem with the newest version of Thunderbird running on Windows 11 and one IMAP mailbox. Thunderbird was running fine for at least a year however some months ago, I guess after an update but dont know for sure, weird stuff started happening: Incoming mails where "mixed up" so clicking on mails opened different mails, mails that certainly had attachments where shown not to have attachments and sometimes mails where shown in raw source code form instead of properly rendered with formatting and just the mail text etc. I didnt really find anything searching around for those symptoms on the Internet, but it seemed like something was damaged so I right clicked the inbox folder and repaired it and the problems seemed to be gone for 1-2 weeks, however now they are back. Is this known and how to get to the bottom of this? Thanks for any help and suggestions.

We are encountering a very strange thing and we cannot find the problem
We have several accounts and it only happens with one account
It does not always happen, and it is random,
When you open an email, content from another email appears, and you open another email and the same content always appears, the strange thing is that it is not all the emails, but some. The only way I have found is to delete the account and download it from the server again I have come to the conclusion that maybe an email is wrong and does this, but no matter how many times you close the program and open it again it continues to fail.
We have already deleted the account for the same client several times in 2 months, but after a while it happens again
At this point I am considering changing the program, because we do not know why it does this

Thunderbird performed an update to my email and ALL Calendar entries are now gone. Completely Empty. Past appointments, meetings etc present and future. I have been using the Thunderbird calendar for over 18 years. I need my info back if possible. I don't have the bandwidth to "find" and "fix" on my own. HELP - quickly if possible. I was able to send emails on Oct 9 but haven't been able to since then so I assume there's something wrong with your Oct 10 update. I can receive emails. I selected 'reply', entered a comment. My only options after that were to save as a draft or cancel changes.
