can not add xfinity passwor after changing it to Thunderbird

i have tried updating my pass word for Xfinity i have tried several passwords that work in Xfinity when try to change to Thunder bird it keeps asking me for the password i have tried several times to add it. i saw strange names and emails on my Xfinity account so i tried removing the password and every time Thunderbird keeps asking me for the xfinity pass wor. it works in xfinity but cn not get it to work in thunder bird Please help i do not know what do do i fi delete thiunder bird and stt over i lose alll my contacts and do not know how to SAVE THEM PLEASE HELP not sure i can get the email unless i go to xfinity mail

Mary far be it from me to point out that your server settings have to change when your xfinity account is migrated to Yahoo. I suggest you check if you accepted the invitation from xfinity and still have an account with Yahoo, or ingnored the notice and lost your email address. Either way you will probably need to contact xfinity.
