Why did Firefox start opening closed tabs?

more options

I can't find a way to turn it off in settings, but whenever I reopen the window the last tab I was on is open even if I closed it before.

Is there actually a way to turn that off?

I’ve noticed this too after the latest updates. Firefox seems to try to restore your last session automatically. You can usually change this by going to Settings → General → Startup → ‘Restore previous session’ and turning it off. That should stop closed tabs from reopening when you start Firefox.

Hi George,

that doesn't seem right. Can you check your Homepage setting to see which one is set as the Opening screen? If you enabled Last tab, it's possible that you were unsuccessful at closing tab previously so it may came up when you open the browser.

You can check by going to Settings -> Homepage -> Opening Screen

It was set to homepage, and it still automatically opens the last tab.
