You could try changing the user agent string to a a chrome one.

To do so go to about:config and create a preference named "general.useragent.override" with a type of string and value of "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/140.0.0.0 Safari/537.36"

If that fixes the issue, it would prove google is expressly targeting Firefox.

Hi,

Here are some standard troubleshooting steps that may help you:

  1. Please check if you have Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) enabled. You can do that by clicking the shield Fx89ShieldIcon icon at the left of the address bar.
    • If ETP is enabled, try disabling it. Does the problem persist?
  2. If the problem is not fixed, try clearing Firefox cache. Does it help?
  3. If it does not help, also try clearing cookies and data for the website you experience troubles with (warning: you will be logged out on this website). Does it help?
  4. If it also does not help, try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode. Does the problem persist?

Looking forward to your update!

Denys, Thank you for getting back to me. It seems item #1 has corrected the problem. I will give it a few more days to be sure, and then switch back to Firefox. Thank you again! Cheers, Phil
