No new email screen opens when I try to use the send to mail recipient on Win11.
Thunderbird Version 142.0 will open when I chose a file to send to mail recipient using win 11, but the new email screen doesn't open so no file attaches. All my defaults are correct, there is a proper mail recipient entry in the appdata sendto file and there is a key in the registry for Thunderbird under client mail.

Actually, the problem is solved. A new file needed to be created in the Sendto folder called "MailRecipient.MAPIMail". The directions in this response worked for me: "https://www.technipages.com/windows-11-mail-recipient-missing-from-send-to-menu/". Many thanks to Mitch Bartlett.

Glad that worked for you. I had long ago removed Mail Recipient from Send To while troubleshooting that bug and until now, hadn't been able to restore it successfully. However, simply creating MailRecipient.MAPIMail didn't work like it did for you; I had to do the steps found at https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/send-to-mail-recipient-fix/. I also had to do an extra step: rename the pasted Mail Recipient file to MailRecipient.MAPIMail).
