Add-ons menu not showing correctly

I am experiencing strange behaviour with Thunderbird and certain add-ons. For some time now, when I use certain add-ons that are supposed to display a menu, the menu does not appear. It is replaced by a circle (see attached image : two different add-ons, not showing simultaneously, but merged into the same capture). I have disabled all other add-ons, but this has not resolved the issue. I think there must be a setting that is causing the problem. But with so many settings, I don't know where to look.

Does anyone know how to find the reason for this behaviour?

I am using Thunderbird 139.0.2 (64-bit) with Windows 11.

Thank you for helping.

You will want to contact the author of the add-on.

Thank you Wayne for your attention and your suggestion. However, the problem is not related to a specific addon. It appears with two different addons as shown on the picture, and also with a third one. I do believe this is related to some conflict with settings.

Is hardware acceleration enabled in Settings/General (bottom of tab)? If it is, disable it, restart TB, and see if the display changes.

I rather doubt it - or least doubt the solution is in Thunderbird. Because if one or more of add-ons are based on webextension experiments then the add-on can break at any time and it is up to the author to hunt down the cause. Conversely, if it is based on webextensions it uses a standard API in Thunderbird which shoudn't break from version to version.

What are the links to the add-ons? And what do one or more of the authors have to say?
