Inbox suddenly became empty

more options

While using Thunderbird as I do regularly, it suddenly showed not responding. I left it like that for a few minutes, and when I opened my window later, to my shock, my inbox was empty, except for the last email I had received a few minutes prior to that. My sent emails, draft etc. are untouched, and the same as they were before.

Can anyone kindly advise how I can retrieve my inbox? I have no clue how this happened, in the first place.

Hello there

Try to exit Thunderbird. And try to create some copies of the inbox. Try to rename the inbox name to old inbox and delete the inbox.msf and restart.that should create a new one only now it is named to old inbox. if there is a new old inbox folder in the folder pane click on it and compact it. If this is succeed , you can use it now. And now you can delete the copies of the inbox now .
