Is there a way to remove the thumbtacks and rounded edges off the shortcuts in the newest version?

I love Firefox otherwise, but the thumbtacks look terrible and are distracting. I use the shortcuts dozens of times daily to open my most frequent sites.

Please remove the thumbtacks and overly rounded edges in the new version.

The shortcuts looked much better in the previous versions with no thumbtacks and square edges.
