As in how? There little info as to what and what is going on for those users familiar with sync to know where to start diagnosing the issue.

Not sure if Firefox sync supports the old eol Firefox 78.

You could try moving the Profile information you want from the old Mac to the new Mac. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
