LOST SAVED EMAILS

Finished writing and sending a long email. Went to check if it sent, and my SENT folder is gone. On the left side of the "page" where I keep emails for future reference in various categories or folders, EVERYTHING IS GONE. I tried hitting the little arrows to open up the contents, nothing is there. Where'd it go? WHY? How do I get these necessary items back?

It always helps if you upload a screendump image showing the problem. What OS do you use? What version of Thunderbird are you using?

Do you use IMAP or POP ? If IMAP then see if you need to 'Subscribe' to see folders. In Folder Pane

  • Right click on imap mail account name folder and select 'Subscribe'
  • Click on 'Refresh'
  • Select folders and clickon 'Subscribe'
  • click on OK

Make sure you have the following settings just in case you have an unusual view - maybe a filtered view.

  • View > Folders > 'All folders'
  • View > Threads > 'All'
