I can’t receive email in my Thunderbird app on my desktop computer. It happened all of a sudden, and may have coincided with a disruption of service by my ISP. I worked with tech support from my ISP and nothing worked to fix it.

What do you mean by 'disruption of service'? Did it crash TB? Was a cessation of connection while TB was downloading? Exactly what happened?
