my thunderbird email incoming messages are now formatted wrong..... not sure what changed but its almost impossible to use now. does my windows OS need to be updated, or my thunderbird updated.... or what? i'm very low tech saavy as you can tell.......

Do they look like html code ? OR do they look like a draft email ?

Try this: In Folder Pane

  • Right click on Inbox folder and select 'Properties'
  • Click on 'Repair folder' button
  • Click on 'OK'

tysm! they had turned into html code looking...... somehow properties got changed. all good now.

Can confirm repairing the folder fixed it and that I was also being given the embedded data of the images as part of the email, but not the email body itself.
