Outgoing server SMTP

more options

I tried to send an email and got a message saying "The message could not be sent because connections to Outgoing server (SMTP) pop3.gmail,com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify your Outgoing server(SMTP) are correct and try again". I checked and they seem right but I cannot even send an email from one account to the other. The same message appears and I don't believe anything has been changed, aside from adding another address, that I know of.

Chosen solution

Aaaand I just saw it. smtp.gmail, com has now been entered and OAuth2 became an option. All is good. Thanks

The gmail smtp server is smtp.gmail.com, 465, SSL/TLS, OAuth2, email address. Check Account Settings, Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane.

In the Outgoing Server, oauth2 is not an option. (and yes, I tried scrolling)

As I said, the outgoing server name is smtp.gmail.com. The incoming POP server is pop.gmail.com, 995, SSL/TLS, OAuth2, email address.
