Private Mode causing the Normal Mode to restore last session

This is happening near a year and I can't find a way to consistently replicate this issue but;

While Private Mode is open, if I open the Normal Mode, visit some sites then close it, when I reopen the Normal Mode it is restoring the last session.

This wasn't happening when the Private Mode was separated, like umm, it wasn't have it's own icon at the Task Bar.

So far I tried setting these values to false in about:config browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash toolkit.winRegisterApplicationRestart

but it doesn't help with this problem. It only works if the Firefox actually crashes or closed abruptly like powering off the PC. But doesn't stop it's restoring when done this way.

Could you describe the steps you are taking here:

For example, are you using a menu option within Firefox, or using Open New Window from the right-click menu on the Firefox taskbar shortcut, or something else.

If you check in about:config, is browser.privateWindowSeparation.enabled still set to true? I noticed on my own system that if I enable taskbar.grouping.useprofile to true, it overrides that one.

I assume that browser.startup.page is set to 1 (start up with home page) or 0 (start up with blank page) and not to 3 (restore previous session) or 2 (restore last tab). You can experiment with that setting and see whether it makes any difference.
