Emails to correct folder

When I receive emails to one of my addresses it goes into the correct folder but I cannot remember how! To make it worse I want emails to go into two folders but how do I do this?

I know this is simple and i have done it before but I cannot work out how.

My guess is you have a message filter to do that. And you can update the filter for the other folder. Filters are at tools>message filters
