I've read and tried to follow the Blocking Senders info several times but still having problems adding additional emails/domains to the list. I was able to setup the "Block List" filter as instructed with the first email but every time I try to add another sender, it tells me the list already exists and I need to create a new one. I have tried clicking the "+" to add an exception but it just gives me a blank domain name. I tried copying the email/domain to the new exception line but it still keeps telling me that filter already exists and create a new one. The instructions seem to leave out a step or two.

I recently upgraded to version 102.0.1 (installed via snap) from version 91.9.1 (installed via apt repository) running on Kubuntu 22.04 LTS.

In version 91 I could specify "combined inbox" for my three email accounts. However, I have not been able to locate the setting for this in version 102.

Is this even avaiable?

When I use thunderbird 102 on Linux, the view state doesn't save between loads. For instance, if I turn off the message preview pane, it stays off as long as thunderbird is open. However, when I quit and relaunch, it and other view changes (filter bar, etc) are reverted.

TB 91 7-4-22 Just installed TB 91 and problems already. The list that shows the SMTP servers does not show different user ids with the same smtp server. If you have 2 user ids on the same smtp server only one user ID is available in the list. You cant change it with out deleting the one you want and adding it again. (not tested)

Problem 2: Can not Import my old pop3 single PST data file. Function returns "no application found ....". I need to import calendars and contacts plus messages and folders from the old PST file in outlook 2010.

I have, very reluctantly, had to stop using Windows Live Mail, because gmail will no longer support it. It was a great email program and it did everything I needed. Thunderbird would seem to be the nearest thing I can find to replace Live Mail - but there seems to be some quite staggering basic functions that are missing from it. Maybe I'm alone in wanting to include a picture or two in my emails..? - not as attachments, but as part of 'the visual letter', within the text? Live Mail must be 20 years old at least - but in Live Mail I could insert an image; drag the corners to resize it; add a box rule if I wanted to; and send it on it's way. In 21stC Thunderbird I can, with many a dialogue box, insert an image... but even when I've worked out how to 'resize it', it doesn't actually reduce the file size of the image sent..! So a 7MB image, when 'resized' to something less than 1MB... still actually gets transmitted as a 7MB image - and takes forever! So my question is. How come an ancient, now almost defunct program like Live Mail, is twenty times more agile and user-friendly than 'up-to-date' Thunderbird? And before anyone mentions 'add-ons' - Live Mail did all of this straight out of the box! No 'add-on' searching or anything else required. But maybe including a picture or two in an email is a fairly revolutionary concept? With thanks for your thoughts.

I just updated to the latest version of Thunderbird 102.0. I wanted to change add-on for appearance. When I changed it to the Minions or any other add-on it shows. But no matter what the add-on it changes the appearance of the Folder menu bars and Folder list on the left side to black. It keeps the reading pane white. Is there a way to keep it all white? I have tried all the suggestions. If I go back to the add-on for light mode the program window is all white. But when I change it to another add-on it switches the above mention back to black. How do I stop this?

I have changed the fonts in TB but it still looks the same (small). I went to Tools, Preferences, Language & Appearance, Advanced, Latin, then changed Proportional for San Serif to 18 or 24, changed Monospace Consolas to 18 or 24, Minimum font size to 24. It doesn't matter what font I choose when I go back to TB all the letters are still small -- I suppose the default size.

I just upgraded to 102.0. The "TAG" option is greyed out and unavailable for use. It was like that before I upgraded, so it's not the new upgrade. What have I done? I use the tags a lot. Oddly, I can edit the tags and their colors/descriptions, but back in the inbox, it's not working.

Win10, HP laptop.

Now Thunderbird 102 supports CardDAV protocol, but iCloud still does not work.

I received a new laptop and installed Thunderbird 102 on it. I downloaded Quicktext 5 and installed. When in the main screen there is a quicktext logo top right, but nothing happens when I click it. When I compose new email there is no quick text list or menu and if I go to tools, quick text is not in the menu. Under addons I can see it in the list but it is not working at all. I tried to remove it, but it just stays there, it does not go away.

Hello,

I have migrated to release 102, and I am trying to setup an account that it was already working, in a domain that uses Google Workspace, but Thunderbird does not know it, and I do not know how to tell it so. Consequently, I had to setup my account manually, in advanced mode, so to set authentication to OAuth2 (for IMAP, I cannot do it for SMTP). Yet, the Google window is not displayed, and Thunderbird tells me that it failed to get my email.

So I when to the Google API Console, and there are services there enabled that worked, so I do not know what to do.
