How to highlight text in Thunderbird (as in a yellow marker in printed text)

Even though highlighting text is a SUPER minor feature, it is one I would love to see in Thunderbird. I am using Release 115.6.1 (64-bit) and would love to have that capability. I searched for add-ons but the only one I found had been withdrawn by its author. Please advise if that capability exists and how to install it. Thanks, mkcgkc@gmail.com Ken Cawthorne

Note that highlighting can also be done without add-ons, by inserting simple html tags:
