Prompt in fields have an extra line at the top

I recently noticed that fields on all Web sites I visit have an extra horizontal line at the top of the prompt. Please see attached image. This only happens on Firefox. Other browsers don't have that behavior. How can I restore the normal prompt of a straight vertical line?

That notch is the bibi marker that shows whether LTR or RTL is selected for text input, you can toggle the direction via "Ctrl+Shift+X". You would normally only see this special caret on pages that support RTL if you install a Firefox locale that supports both cases.
