So because of the name change, I am prompted to ask "do I even have an account?" The fact that I am able to even ask you this question must mean that I do. I have been using Firefox and Thunderbird for years and never new that it / they needed or came with an account. So I apparently have an account. Now what? What can or should I do with it? The Firefox web browser does not come with a Firefox Account (soon to have new name of Mozilla Account on Nov 1st) as you have to create it yourself.

This forum uses Firefox Account to be able to post threads and replies and such like you did in order to post this thread.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-accounts-supportmozillaorg https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/access-mozilla-services-firefox-account https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-accounts-renamed-mozilla-accounts

Also this is a support forum so you should not post your email in public as nobody does support by email.

This forum uses the Mozilla/Firefox Account to login and you can use this account to login to other Mozilla services (for instance Sync) like posted above, I some cases you may also be able to use a Google account to login.

OK so so Mozilla has services like some name that means nothing by itself. What are the services? Not just their names but what are they, what do they do? Why might I want to use one of these services. I have a good web browser. I have a good mail program. What more do you have that will improve or change my life?

The list of Mozilla services you can use your Firefox Account on is listed in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/access-mozilla-services-firefox-account as I posted earlier.
