Can't update to latest version, or access any Mozilla site. Instead I get an Unable to Connect -- try again message. No other websites affected, just Mozilla. Tried running Firefox in recovery mode, same result. Also tried to download an installation package using Chrome. Again, the same error. I'm asking for help on my phone, since doing so on my laptop is denied. Would appreciate assistance.

using Chrome. Again, the same error.

So it's not Firefox-specific?

I assume that's right. Something is blocking my access to anything Mozilla related, which seems very odd to me. Nothing has changed on my laptop, except a recent Windows update. Checks on my connectivity are okay, and as I say, no other sites have the same issues. Also, my security software reports no problems. Turning off my VPN made no difference either. Quite a puzzle.

Zeroknight, hi : Problem solved, although it's as much of a puzzle as the original issue. On a whim I uninstalled Peerblocker, a piece of software that I've been using trouble-free for several years, and I was immediately able to upgrade Firefox and access all Mozilla pages. But I do appreciate your response. . . it did make me realize the issue wasn't strictly speaking Firefox related.
