Hi Firefox,

Every time I leave the browser open in the background, I come to find that it's using almost 80% of my CPU, and my fans are very loud. I don't know what this is. I deleted Google Chrome because of that, and then I used Microsoft Edge for a while. Then I figured out that it's full of bugs, and the same goes for Brave. So, I decided to give Firefox a shot, only to find out that it's just like Google Chrome. I don't have any extensions installed on my browser except for IDM (download manager). Please, can you answer me and tell me why this is happening, or should I just delete the browser and maybe try Opera?

Some web pages will have that effect, such as pages which continually add new content. I suggest using an extension to unload a page while you are not actually using it.

You can get more information about what is happening with the Firefox Task Manager (Shift+Esc).

Run a malware scan with something like Malwarebytes to make sure your system is not infected.
