From several weeks we have to copy and paste the account passwords at every launch of Thunderbird. If I flag the option to remember passwords nothing happens; thunderbird did not proceed and ask again for passwords. The only way to proceed is to fill the passwords without the flag to remember passwords. In this case I can access to the mails but I will have the same problem at the next startup of Thunderbird. This happens both on Win10 64bit and Win10 32bit versions. Thank you for your support best regards Davide

Here is something you may want to try: - in settings>privacy and security click 'saved passwords'. Then click 'show passwords' - now, highlight the two rows for the account , click edit password and delete whatever is there. - now try retrieving account again and see if you can tick the flag to remember it.

Hi David thank you for answer ! the problem is not solved in 1 of 4 PC: in 1 pc Win XP the problem seems to be solved but in 2 PC Win10 32bit and 1 PC Win10 64 bit is still there...

if I log in these PCs Thunderbird with passwords and the flag "save password" and I go to check "show passwords" the page is empty

thank you for more alterntives to try
