New page display - to show Google search bar and recent web sites

I used to get a display in the middle of a "New Page" with Firefox - recent revisions have removed that and I only get a Google search bar at top of new page. Help is appreciated. What I am looking for is displayed in images from my Chrome browser - similar, but not like the way Firefox displayed it.

I believe what you are looking for is the 'home' page and "new tab" page. I have added links to support articles for those and also for data missing after updating which seems to be what has happened.
