I am looking for a Text Editor that works with Thunderbird. I have downloaded a file from the Internet that is rather large, like 7 pages large. And I have been trying to save it to one of the HDDs partitions that has data that belongs with it. I have tried to get Jarte to save this download, but it doesn't seem to be able to do it. And its not being updated anymore. So I'm looking for another Text Editor! One that allows me to download and save data from the Internet. And after that has been done, places this data in a partition on one of my HDDs that's installed in my Desktop. Any suggestions?

I have read this several times and I have no idea what you are talking about.

Thunderbird has a composer/ Compose window. But I am not aware of any functionality around downloading text from the internet. What does this have to do with email?

I placed my question in 'Other' because it has only a little bit to do with Mozilla. I am having to choose another Text Editor that I can use on my PC to move the files around. As I said before, the Text Editor that I have been using, is no longer supported. And there are a lot of Adds that are trying to get me to buy, or download, this product, or that. I am trying to find a Text Editor that will be a help to me, in saving and moving files around on my Desktop. Trying to select a Text Editor that does what I need, is not that simple. So I thought I would ask some Users for their Advice.
