When TB has blocked remote content has it prevented the content from being downloaded? In other words if I do not click on the allow option have I saved the data download that would be otherwise used to download the content? I connect my laptop to the Internet via data on my phone and have a limited data plan. If I'm not interested in seeing the remote content and don't let TB show it, do I save on data usage?

They are broken links, so link data is there but not activated. It is remote content that connects to external source eg: an image on a website or even a micro dot which you cannot even see. It cannot link to the external source, so cannot display or send any info back remotely.
