For the past few months, my Gmail arrives in Thunderbird, but Thunderbird does not allow me to send any emails. Instead, a Yahoo login pops up. I only use Gmail so I do not understand why this is suddenly happening. I have checked my settings and cannot find the issue. Any ideas? Here are shots of my settings:

Well, since you have just one account and it's IMAP, my suggestion is to remove the account completely, and start over.

Same things happen in Troubleshooting mode.

I always keep Thunderbird up to date - I am on version 102.1.2. The trouble began about 2.5 months ago.

Thunderbird does not allow me to send in Troubleshoot mode either.

You might check tools>accountsettings>account to confirm that the account is linked to the gmail smtp server. Check also the left sidebar of tools>accountsettings for any possible extra account. I would also suggest clicking help>moretroubleshootinginformation and scroll down to Profile Folder, click 'Open Folder' and then browse Mail folder and Imapmail folder to see if there is a file with Yahoo in the name (or any other file, other than your gmail account file).

David - nothing found with Yahoo on or in it. Any other ideas?

BRAVO - I thought I had done the account removal before, but I guess not thoroughly enough. Thanks for your help.

You're very welcome.
