Firefox auto log on

more options

Hello: I am using Firefox Ver 103, with windows 10. Since I have updated, Firefox does not auto log me in. It used to bring me right to the main page for Xfinity, now it brings me to a setup page that I have to log into, and then I can go to my regular log-on page. I have looked over the setups, but all look the same. How can I get Firefox 103 to auto-log me in like it used to? thanks very much for any help:) Allen

Auto Logon comes from a cookie generated when you select the "Keep Me Signed In" button at log-in. You may need to "re-new" your cookies for that site - some sites change/update their cookies (Xfinity is preparing to do away with MyXfi online).

Also, be sure that you keep those cookies in Firefox settings: Menu -> Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Exceptions enter the url of a website and select Allow select - Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed All cookies will be deleted when Firefox is closed EXCEPT the ones Allowed in the list.

Note: If you use settings in the History section farther down the page, be sure Site Settings is not checked. This will delete the Cookies and Exceptions.

Firefox 102 migrated the "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" checkbox to the "Clear history when Firefox closes" settings, now that it honors the exceptions list. When using "Clear history when Firefox closes", please make sure NOT to clear "Site Settings" because that category includes your cookie permissions and then you'll need to add them all again. _____________________________________________________________________

To add to the Manage Exceptions list while you are visiting a site -

Ctrl + i to open Page Info select Permissions tab scroll down to Set Cookies uncheck Use Default be sure Allow is selected close Page Info window at top right
