Firefox redirects my local domain (.loc) to a web search

more options

I have a local development environment setup which uses the .loc TLD to resolve to directories on my machine. In Firefox when I type foobar.loc into the url bar and hit enter, I am sent to my search provider with results for foobar.loc instead of to the domain foobar.loc.

How can I tell Ffx to not perform search in these cases?

In short, I need to add an entry to about:config:

    browser.fixup.domainsuffixwhitelist.loc = true
