Four dot pattern/artifact across browser pages and images.
I am getting a four dot/pixel pattern (repeated across the screen/image) that appears across many - but not all - images and text in Firefox. Not present in other browsers. It follows the image/text when scrolling.
I am using FF91.3.0esr(64bit), a MacPro 5.1 on OS 10.13.6, ATI Radeon HD 5000 1024 MB feeding a 30" Apple Cinema Display. I see 'esr' means Extended Support Release - maybe I'm overextended?
Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Settings -> General: Performance
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use hardware acceleration when available" - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings
Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting to make changes effective.

Thank you cor-el - this worked perfectly. So glad I don't need to switch browsers! Perfect.
