Firefox Extensions won't show up or work

I just installed several extensions, most of them were recommended so it's not like I'm using untrusted software. The installation page was offering me to remove them, so I thought they are installed. They are all listed in about:addons under enabled, but they don't really do anything. Please help me!

In case you use automatic private browsing mode, you'll need to enable each extension to run in private windows. See: Extensions in Private Browsing.
