The new UI is terrible

I just want it back the way it was a week ago! The new tabs suck and look bad. I loved how it looked before, with everything square and outlined. I'm 19 and grew up with iPhones, so I'm not just saying this because I am a boomer. How do I revert the update?

Hi,

We really encourage that you stay on the latest version to get the best browsing experience.

You are more than welcome to let us know if there's anything in particular that you would like to see improved or fixed with Firefox 89 update.

It's ok, I uninstalled firefox and installed version 88. Not optimal since I lost all my settings, but it finally looks just the way I like it.

Warning: Installing a previous version doesn't fix most problems

Problems with an update are generally not caused by the new version of Firefox, but rather the update process. Installing a previous version will not help in most cases. The best option is to start a new thread about your issues, where others can suggest specific solutions.

Using old versions of Firefox also poses a significant security risk.

Is it the impatience of youth? The workarounds are all over this forum.

When you get Firefox 89 back, you can check my site for some of the options: https://www.userchrome.org/firefox-89-styling-proton-ui.html

To re-engage your old profile when you're back on Firefox 89, open the about:profiles page, find the one you want to use, and click its Set as Default button. (Due to downgrade protection, that won't work with Firefox 88.)
