Having issue with webpage text boxes not responding to mouse click or enter.
I have a reproduceable issue where a text box, usually at the top of a page, will not respond to clicking on an enter/search icon or to enter/return after text is entered. I have seen it on both the Home Depot (see attachment) and Lowes websites, and my wife saw it on her laptop with Weather.com. Both systems are Win 10 latest and Firefox 87.0. In the attaached image, clicking on either the small orange circle or pressing enter fails to work. Similar issue with Lowes and Weather. Tried running in safe mode but still had same issue. However, using Opera or Edge works just fine.

So I upgrade to Firefox 88.0 and this issue is no longer occurs. HOWEVER, I found another one that is just as annoying. So I'll marked this Solved by 88 and file a new bug report.

Looks like you have a big problem !
But those websites look fine on my end and the mouse functions fine in the url field. Attached is a screen pic from my machine.
You mentioned testing this issue in Safemode.
But you must be thorough.
So my suggestion is to temporarily disable all FireFox add-ins and Windows start ups. Then reboot and test the issue again.
Okay, bear with me. So I manually disabled the two Add-Ons I have and restarted Firefox in Safe Mode, but the problem with HomeDepot still occurs. However, the issue with Lowes and Weather seems to have cleared up in both Safe and Regular mode with the Add-ons enabled. Strange.
So I ran Firefox in SafeMode on my wife's laptop and Weather worked. Odd, since she has NO Add-Ons installed, but when I went back to Regular mode, it did NOT work again. Stranger.
For my laptop there were a couple of system reboots (and finding out Windows Safe Mode with Networking does not allow wifi) between Safe Mode and when Lowes and Weather started working. So I rebooted my wifes laptop, but it did not make a difference. Even Stranger.
So, I was a system software QA engineer for 35 years, and in the past I would have loved to chase this issue down as it is a challenge. However, now I'm retired, and as I have a work around, I'll let those who with more knowledge about Firefox take a look, or not.

But the bottom line is that if the only this things that were running on your machines was Windows and FireFox, you would not have these issues.
So i see you have Norton installed and 2 versions of Norton Safe Search installed too.
I dont know what else you have on your systems. But there is something common on all your machines that is creating the instability. And sometimes its the anti-virals and anti-malwares.
I saw one case where once the a.v. was reinstalled after FF was installed, the issue they had was gone.
I have 0% issues with Lowes, Home Depot and the Weather site. So i 100% know that FF is 100% functional with these particular sites.

So you disabled the add-ins in FireFox? Great!
Nextly, temporarly disable the applications that are starting with windows. Then reboot and retry the sites.
To temporarily disable Win10 start ups, open the task manager, go to startup tab and double click everything that is enabled. Then close, reboot and retest the website(s).
If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check the Web Console for messages about blocked content.

You can reload webpage(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
