In the search settings it has "Your browser is being managed by your organisation", what is that about? I don't belong to any organisation, and want to manage my own browser.

You usually see this message if you have security software that acts as a man-in-the-middle and places itself in the internet connection chain. To be able to do this properly it needs to inject its root certificate in the Firefox certificate store. See:
